The Cameras

We started The Cameras because finding a good film camera in the UK felt harder than it should be.

We spent hours scrolling through auction sites, wondering if the light meter worked, if the seals had crumbled, or if the seller’s ‘mint condition’ really meant anything.

We believe film photography shouldn’t be an expensive guessing game—it should be exciting, tactile, and accessible.

So we built a shop that’s part camera store, part community hub. Every camera we sell is carefully sourced, tested, and ready to shoot on day one.

We’re here for the students picking up their first SLR, the travellers chasing that soft 35 mm glow, and the pros who know the magic of a perfectly exposed negative.

Film is slower, softer, and more human. That’s why we do this.
